![]() It's forcing me to educate myself in an area, I'm not familiar with. This Bridgeport IS NOT the machine I really need, but I bought it really to learn about it- and other CNC mills. My new CNC lathe was certainly a troubling experience. ![]() ![]() Yes buying a new mill doesn't mean life will be trouble free. Should just find a known good card, try it and then start looking for a mother board. Hard to say whether the mother board is bad or the VGA card. ![]() I've got some old computers, but none have a VGA card like this one. I've hooked power up to the monitor and it does seem to turn on, but the screen stays dark. It's wired to a receptacle on the side of the box, but then the receptacle isn't wired to anything. The monitor is not even hooked up to any source of power in the cabinet. This machine physically looks great- flaking on all the ways, the paint is original and fairly decent, but the electrical cabinet has certainly had some dimwits in it. Pressing the #7 or #8 key on the keyboard, did nothing. The machine upon turning on the master switch, has the back fan immediately come on, there are little lights on the three servos (I assume) boards, and a couple of lights come on in the PC. Since May, I've got in five other machines, which got my attention first. Most guys immediately have time to play with their new purchases, but I only get them on line when I really need them.
